American Traditions Giving Back

At American Traditions, we want to give back to those charities that are closest to our hearts. In philanthropy, determining your charitable passions is the most important step to creating a successful philanthropic mission of giving for a greater impact.

Therefore, we are going to put our revenue where our mouths are, so with every t-shirt and hat sale we are going to be giving $5 of the proceeds to your choice of one of our three favorite charities: Melanoma Research Foundation, National Suicide Prevention Line and Semper Fi Fund!

Melanoma Research Foundation

The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is the largest independent organization devoted to melanoma. The MRF is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization committed to research, education and advocacy in our battle to find more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for melanoma. The MRF also educates patients, caregivers and physicians about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of melanoma. The MRF's website is the premier source for melanoma information seekers.

The MRF is also an active advocate for the melanoma community, helping to raise awareness of this disease and the need for a cure. Its online forum - the Melanoma Patients Information Page (MPIP) - is the oldest and largest community of people affected by melanoma and is hosted through the MRF. It is designed to provide support and information to caregivers, patients, family and friends. Donations will raise awareness, support medical research to find effective new treatments for melanoma, and provide resources and education to the melanoma community. Together, we are making a difference!

National Suicide Prevention Line

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a leader in suicide prevention and mental health crisis care, providing free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States. The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 150 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices. Calls to the Lifeline are answered by a national network of local crisis centers. Crisis center counselors are the heroes of the Lifeline!

In 2017, the Lifeline answered over 2 million calls from people across the United States. Donations help strengthen growing infrastructure, support local crisis centers, and provide support for the counselors answering Lifeline calls.  Please note that the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a program that is funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and administered by Vibrant Emotional Health (formerly known as the Mental Health Association of New York City or MHA-NYC). If you would like to donate by check, please write your check to Vibrant Emotional Health and mail it to: 50 Broadway, Fl 19, New York, NY 10004. For further questions, please contact the Development team at development@vibrant.org or call (212) 614-6315.
